About GAIA
GAIA (Global Alliance for Infostructure Advancement) Corporation is a joint venture company comprised of three Canadian information and communications technology firms. These companies have come together to support the planning and implementation of information infrastructure throughout the world, to develop opportunities for Canadian communications and information technology companies in Canada and abroad, and to share with governments and businesses of other countries, the Canadian and North American experience with the growing global information society.
Members of GAIA Corporation have managed long-term multi-phased projects in both domestic and international markets, and have a proven track record in the knowledge-based sectors – including information technologies, computing, telecommunications and broadcasting – as well as science and technology policy, technology transfer, international development, and human resources development and training. This experience has included the development of business cases to support the technology investment, and the financing of these investments through public/private partnerships. Our business practice has been to facilitate knowledge transfer through strategic alliances with local companies.
GAIA’s professional consulting team has the skills necessary to manage the highly complex and demanding requirements of international communications and information technology projects, and is currently applying its collective experience in information infrastructure in developing countries.
